Popke Huizinga

Mr. Popke Huizinga has been with IOS Press since early 1994. IOS Press is a small/medium sized academic publisher in Computer and Medical/Health related journals and books.

He studied economics & finance. Starting on the financial department he held several positions in the company like general manager and since 2004 as deputy director. In this role he became, besides finance, responsible for the commercial activities (sales). With the cooperation of agents and intermediaries several site license deals were achieved like in Canada, China and India. Nowadays thousands of academic institutes have access to the journals.
